常考題 ─ 故事情節 Plots or Storylines

 

英語教學目標：

1.聽力、寫作 ─ 能理解並寫出故事情節 – introduction, rising actions, climax, falling actions, resolution

2.口說 ─ 能描述故事情節

3.閱讀 ─ 能閱讀完整故事

 

活動準備建議：

1. 本篇的示例影片【Plot of Story】，以及文章【Master Man】。

2. 活動適合程度：進階: 多益550-785/全民英檢中級，主要訓練讀寫。

3. 準備的教具材料：文章、影片

4. 建議教學時間：一堂60分鐘，共1堂。

 

教學流程：

第一堂課：

1. 觀賞影片【Plot of Story】並理解內容。

(1) 請學生念出來 introduction, rising actions, climax, falling actions, resolution 的定義。

(2) 老師以電影《Minions》為例說明。

Minions have a goal to serve the most despicable master. ”introduction” Their “rising action” is their search for the best leader, the “conflict” being that they cannot keep one. Movie trailers encourage viewers to see the movie by showing the conflict but not the “climax or resolution”.

 

2. 閱讀【Master Man】文章後和學生討論內容 (以下根據本次文章設計提問)

Q1: How do you describe the characters, and setting?

Q2: When is the story going to the “rising action”?

Q3: What is the theme of this story?

 

3. 寫作和口頭報告

(1) 學生用「第三人稱」進行描述，有需要時可以引用角色說的話，能讓文章更有說服力。

(2) 請學生以簡報形式或用 Canva 網站製作海報作品，下次上課時報告。

第一堂結束後，老師可視狀況再延伸至第二堂課，修改學生文章、增加句型和單字，亦可請學生口頭報告。

 

教學心得：進階程度的學生，已經能描述 introduction, rising action, 比較困難的是 climax 和 falling action，老師可以多舉例子給學生聽，分別兩者的不同。

 

備註1：在文章、影片的選擇上，教師選擇任何適合學生程度的節慶或活動的素材，都可以進行。
